Since Suit Yourself first opened their doors in 2002, it has helped more than 3000 women facing barriers make a transition into the workforce by providing them with appropriate clothing and accessories at no cost.

In 2017, more than 600 clients were provided with quality wardrobe items for job interviews and employment opportunities.

About the Founder

In 2001, Karmen started Suit Yourself in the basement of a 90-year old apartment building.  In its first year, the charity helped about 100 clients.

As a young lawyer, she realized the power of dressing well and feeling confident because of appearance.

While going through some personal difficulties, she chose to create goodness in her own life by doing something she was passionate about.  She built her own self-esteem at that time by helping women who were struggling to feel better about themselves.

Fast forward to 2018, Suit Yourself assists approximately 550 women annually.
